Merseyside walking.
by fresh air

Hi all old and new.
Having rested my old and ageing knees for far too long now
I wondered if it would be possible to get some regular walks going around Merseyside again.
Walking in other locations will hopefully follow which in turn will enable more people to join in.
I’m using the forum to gauge interest in the first instance and we can take things from there .

Count me in for local walks when I'm available... be great to meet new people too :)
AHAndiHHi Kayla and AndiH.
fafresh airThanks for expressing your interest, Hopefully we can increase numbers as we go.
When you get round to organising walks please post them as an invitation on OD as if I'm travelling down south I could include the walk in my trip.
Cheers, John.
Hi JohnH.
fafresh airYes 100%.
Just trying to get interest from people living locally so we can establish regular walks in the area again which will get put up on invitations and will be open to all .
That's great, I check the invitations regularly and being retired with a campervan I'm very often on the go, in fact from Spring to Autumn I'm hardly at home 🙂
Hi all. I am not local to Merseyside, but Manchester. However, I have a mission to do a couple of long-weekend campervan trips to the Wirral this spring / summer, hiking, biking, and other outdoor pursuits, whilst revisiting some family (lineage) spaces and places. My OS OL 266 Active Explorer waterproof map arrived in the post only yesterday. So I will watch any OD walk invites with interest. 😀😀
ObObiHi Obi.
fafresh airThat’s great to know, you are now officially group navigator.🙂😎👍
Would love to join in if there’s any weekday walks😊
GlGlyn2Week day walks suit me too 😀
I would say it will possibly be just weekends at first, midweek nights later on with an occasional midweek thrown in at some point maybe.

I'd be interested in joining in occasionally. During the week I can't travel far from Southport, but I'll keep an eye out for invitations.
boboatgirlIf anyone is up for walking in the Southport area I'd be happy to find a route and do an invite at some point.
boatgirl: hi boatgirl. I think you are in touch with Kayla so let her know if you want to join us at some point and we will keep at an eye out for Southport walks.
